Fly Cycle: The Lives of a Fly

The common fuit fly Dosophila melanogaster is one of the most studied organism in biology, and for this reason it is important for students at all leels in biology to examin. This color film depicts the many life stages of Drosophila, and demonstrates dissections, histological sections, and provides footage of a gallery of mutants commonly used in the classroom.

Fly cycle is available as a VHS tape (NTSC and PAL), which includes a 40-page booklet and glossary, and as a FlyCycle Cd, a CD-ROM that includes the booklet an glossary in PDF format. It is published by Sinauer Assoc.
